A Note About The Flaming Pony.Hi hi everypony!
So, I get asked a lot of the same questions, as I'm sure you can all imagine, and sometimes I can answer them and sometimes I can't. Lately I've been getting asked about Wild Fire and why she was changed in one of the last episodes, if we'll ever see her again, and how she came to be in the first place.
Her first appearance in the Canterlot Wedding ep, wasn't much of an exciting story (none of this is, I apologize). After seeing the cleaned up storyboard (which I believe that part was drawn by Marshall), I noticed that the one pony looked almost like Wild Fire. For shoots and giggles, I went to our art director and simply just asked if we could try and make it WF for laughs. And it worked. It was as simple as that.
While work had begun on season 3, I was approached by my good friend Wootie (and co-director) asking if it was okay to use WF as a Wonderbolt Cadet for the 307 episode. They needed a few more designs, and I agreed that it would be fine. So yes, up until the

Lately I keep getting asked the same questions it seems over and over again, so I'm just gunna make a quick journal to "blanket" address some of these concerns.
I know there have been rumours floating around about certain show specific details, and I know people are confused and troubled...but you have to remember that I'm under contract and I'm not allowed to talk about ANY of this stuff. Just like everyone else, you'll have to just wait and see how everything plays out and just enjoy the show as it's aired. So please, save your time (and mine!) and don't bother pm'ing me about this stuff, because I'm just going to have to ignore it (which I hate and seems rude) or respond with what I've just said above!
So yeah, please remember that I have to stay tight-lipped about everything pretty much...it's the rules!

Floored.So I was just going thru a folder on my desktop that contains pretty much every single piece of fan art I've gotten since this whole pony craze began. And I sat back and stopped and realized - holy hell, this is just...amazing. I mean, every time I get something new, I am so flattered at the fact that somebody would want to take their time out to draw something for *me*. It boggles my mind, but I love each and every one of them...regardless of skill level.
I just had a moment where I just felt completely moved with happiness at the thoughtfulness and generosity...and I just wanted to say thank you AGAIN to everyone and anyone who has taken time out of their daily lives to be creative and share that with me. It means the world.

Save Our Derpy

No doubt you’ve all seen or heard the hullabaloo around Ye Olde Intertubes in the days and weeks following our beloved Derpy’s named appearance in the FIM episode The Last Roundup. What began as a campaign by trolls wreak havoc was soon picked up by well-meaning-but-misguided bronies and fans. The controversy stems from the mistaken belief that the word “derpy” is synonymous with mentally challenged. Obviously, it’s not. Rather it means clutzy or accident prone. Further, fans maintained that her slightly-husky voice in the episode was an attempt to mock people with learning disabilities. Again, untrue. Voiced by actor Tabitha St. Germain, Derpy was mistakenly thought to be a boy pony and was based on a young boy who lives next door to Ms. St. Germain.
This tempest in a teapot stirred up around the fandom has now exploded into what seems to be a PR-pushback by Hasbro.

Season Wrap UpWell, season 2 has finally come to a close,  and I'm sitting here and looking back on it all, with a few thoughts I want to share.
I just want to say thank you (again) to everyone that watched and enjoyed the MLP season finale this weekend.  There were lots of hard nights and long hours from all of us on the DHX crew to make it the best would possibly could.  Of course, there are things that are always going to be imperfect, but overall from what I gather, it seemed well-received.
I was also shocked at how many people recognized my OC pony that made a small cameo in this weekend's episode.  As a blanket response to a lot of the same questions I've been getting all weekend: No, I did not voice her and I'm unsure as to who did.  I would assume just one of the regular VA's.  She was put in kind of last minute.  The artist who drew her in the storyboard, made her look like my pony (just a coincidence), and after seeing i

In other words, it's a beautifully done piece that ALSO has a really powerful social message.

Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to wish each and everyone of my friends and followers a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/Whatever you may celebrate! And if you don't celebrate anything, then I'm still sending love and hugs to you all!

This year has been full of crazy ups and downs for me, unfortunately more downs than ups - but that happens sometimes. Been going thru a lot of HUGE life changes in the past short while and I want to extend my thanks again to EVERYONE who has supported me throughout all this. It means more than you'll ever know. Here's looking to a brighter new year and to starting over.

I'll be leaving for Christmas vacation tomorrow and won't be back till just after the new year, so again, I wish you all a very happy Christmas and safe New Year. Also, please don't be alarmed if I don't respond to messages right away...I'll be away from the computer for the next week. Besides, this is a time to spend with family and friends and those you care about!

Ok, I gotta ask. Who came up with the idea to make Sweetie Belle hold the milkshake like that? Who did the first drawing/sketch for that scene? Because by Celestia that is the cutest viral thing I think this show has spawned and is dang near impossible to not make any pony not look so impossibly cute!

Good thing this one isn't animated, I probably would of passed out! Though I need to stop staring into her eyes as they are causing the d'aww levels to increase beyond what a human's heart can take XD
